According to Gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes, it's sponsored by an international group and it could "threaten residents' "personal freedoms"" and will result in: (drum roll, please!) promotion of abortions and population control!

Would we have anyone in Congress or elected positions if a psychiatric evaluation were a prereq?

No, we wouldn't. We're all crazy in some way about our politics. And then we'd have to figure out what was acceptable crazy, and, yech. We can only hope that the voting populace retains enough of their brains at the ballot to make an informed choice, instead of a reactionary one.
