That's just wrong!
Oct. 3rd, 2010 05:42 pmI went in to Kmart this afternoon looking for a kazoo. They had Halloween decorations out. I've got no problem with that.
They also had Christmas trees out. Not quite 90 days away from the holiday. It should be against the law to put out decorations more than 45 days in advance of a holiday.
Just sayin'.
(and no, no kazoo. *sigh*)

Date: 2010-10-04 03:38 am (UTC)I don't know what Kmart's excuse is, being a bigger company (and a different type of retail business) than I worked for, but when I worked in a store that carried Christmas stuff, we had to convert our store from pool/patio to Christmas season by November first with just our regular store staff (some years we had a outside team sent from the main office to help for a week or so, but not always), and still help people with pool winterizing and winter covers (and pool table and spa stuff, which was year-round) and whatnot while we were at it. So I never felt especially bad about putting up Christmas trees in September. When people complained, we just said, "How do think we feel?"
