I think the best way to kneecap this idea would be to suggest that this is an idea from Obama, guaranteed the Republicans would line up lock-step against it. And you know who else marched in lock-step? Hitler and the Nazi's. Sorry, somehow started channeling Beck.

Well, I was going to say that someone needs to slap Sean Hannity upside the head with a copy of the Qur'an, but you mentioned Hitler, so Godwin's Law has rendered every reply to this moot.
