"The rapture definitely took place, but there just wasn't a soul worth saving so it went unnoticed. The world will still end in October, as planned."
— Harold Camping

Hum. So the prophet who correctly calculated the date and time of the rapture wasn't worthy? I can hardly wait until October, or until the lawsuits against him start.

Nice to know that we're all just damned to tribulation. Maybe I should start preparing for Nicolae Carpathia and the One World Government?

Funny how part of his prophecy, and can we call his prediction anything but prophecy?, also included an earthquake that would ripple around the world. I can't say that the earth has moved for me recently.

Nah, you're supposed to see the Fukushima 9 Mag earthquake as that.

I came across an interesting article that the atmosphere above Japan heated prior to the earthquake. This behavior has been noticed before, but it's not sufficiently accurate to be a predictor of earthquakes.

They're looking to whether they can refine it to be accurate, though - of course, the question of "Yay, we've got an early warning system!" is tempered somewhat if the measure in question is "You've got five minutes to get yourself to somewhere safe to ride this one out."

Wait, did he ACTUALLY say that? I don't think he did...

Not that he isn't thinking it, but still.

He didn't actually say he was a prophet as far as I know, but I think the act of doing what he did puts him in that category.
