Blind man sued for downloading a porn movie

He left a wireless router open and apparently someone downloaded a movie that's being tracked. It was linked to his IP address, and it was cheaper for him to settle than fly cross-country to DC where the suit was filed.

And that says something about the system, when it's cheaper to settle than to have to fly somewhere, have a lawyer, and possibly be taken for everything you have for two generations if a jury or judge decides you're guilty.
