"Middle class? There are no classes in America. We don't put people in classes."
— Rick Santorum

Wow. just... wow. And they accuse Obama of being a socialist?

Does this mean the economy is fully recovered, unemployment is a thing of the past instead of continuing into the future, and everyone gets a free Bentley? (I saw a program of how they were made and damn! I want one!)

And this is the guy that tied to win Iowa (within the statistical margin of error, eight votes are nothing).

The intent of the United States was that there would be no class, in contrast to (then) England where you had the noble class more or less running the show. And technically we don't have a class structure here. But there has always been economic classes here, and though we don't directly put people in to classes, statistically you're going to stay within the economic class in to which you were born.

But to say there is no class here is sheer lunacy, especially after the Occupy movement springing up last year. It's probably safe to say that most political candidates are lunatics, at least to someone.

Yes, that's true. Every politician is a loony to someone, but one really should be paying attention as to how many someones that person is a lunatic to. After a certain threshold, it should be pretty apparent when someone really is spouting nonsense.

I came across a great comment/sig on Slashdot a while back: "When the idiots on the left agree with the idiots on the right, it's probably because it's really idiotic."

Yep, that's an excellent quote. Very true...and unfortunately, very applicable.
