The Canadian web site seizure? Here's the logic behind it.

Basically if the domain is registered in an extension that is under U.S. control, such as .com, it can be seized regardless of where it operates from.

...I hope this means a proliferation of domains away from .com. I also worry that the United States will go a-seizing anyway if they don't like it.
