It's funny, Daily Show With Jon Stewart sent someone to interview various leaders of various American Socialist parties, and the only thing that they agreed upon was that Obama was not a socialist.

America is a little nuts right now and could do with a nice lie-down and perhaps a cup of tea.

In the late 1990's everyone was concerned about Y2K and you saw a big increase in the number of 'patriot militia' groups, basically gun nuts and survivalists who thought the world would come to an end. It didn't. The numbers declined after that fact became apparent. When Obama was elected, we had the Birther idiots, and amazingly, they are making a come back. According to a report that I read about from the FBI, we've also seen a big increase in the last 3 years after Obama took office, this time they're sailing under the 'anti-socialism' and 'government tyranny' flags.

Do I think there will be armed revolution? No. These people will work themselves in to a lather, then someone will realize that police departments and secret service and armies have more guns and are probably better shots than they are, and they'll stand down and grumble in to their beer.

We didn't see armed rebellion to kick Bush 2 out, I don't think we'll see it if Obama gets reelected.
