"Some people wear Superman pajamas. Well, Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas. And Chuck Norris wears Jim DeMint pajamas."
—Sen. Ted Cruz
Wow. I guess there's no end to the crazy. I really hope he runs for POTUS in the '16 cycle, I can't imagine what the debates would be like.
And isn't Chuck too busy to sleep? I thought he was going to visit everyone who didn't vote for Romney and punch them in the face or something?

Date: 2013-05-05 11:24 pm (UTC)Ted Cruz, if he got a nomination, would just show off even more how out of touch the Republicans are with the country. The party hasn't yet stepped off that cliff, considering they went with Romney, eventually.

Date: 2013-05-06 12:08 am (UTC)The election cycle next year is going to be interesting. I don't know the exact breakdown, but probably about a third of those who voted against gun control will be up for election and their votes, unless the package is re-submitted and voted on again, will be remembered.
My biggest curiosity is how the tea party will change. Will it continue to grow, will people realize how ruinous their fundamentalism is to the country and choke it off, what will happen.
I don't think the RNC is going to improve their numbers in either house next year.
