The Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi

Basically the Powerpuff Girls become Japanese Manga and enter the first grade. The comic is up to chapter 4, I've just started going through the archive but it's really good, even if it is in an insanely inconvenient double-page width format. It looks tremendously like Ninja High School, though I suppose lots of anime looks like NHS. I've been out of the Japanimation/manga flow for so long that it isn't funny. Heck, Dirty Pair was new when I stopped following anime.

Anyway, their first fight is with.... Dexter, Boy Genius! Lots of guest appearances, some of which I'm probably missing since I'm not a big watcher of Cartoon Network. Definitely neat and recommended.

Love this comic

I'm impressed with this one. Excellent art and story. And I like the character cameos. I think that's "Grim" from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy taking DeeDee's spirit away. Very cool. Thanks for the rec.

I share your impression, definitely a top-drawer comic. Pity it could never see print, there's no way they could clear all those licenses. Samurai Jack's cameo was good, though I don't suppose it counts as a cameo as he'll be a returning character. I'm curious if his nemisis will appear.

Yeah, I saw Grim, too. At the point that I made the post, I had started reading at the beginning and hadn't gotten to DeeDee's death. I thought that was a great cameo.

I can understand the format to a degree, it's still bloody frustrating to read, though. I hate read, pagedown, home, scroll to the right, read, pagedown. I'd much rather it be in straight pagedownable mode.

I just finished reading the entire archive. I was just howling at all the characters they worked in there, especially Courage the Cowardly dog. I sure hope Johnny Bravo shows up at some point. :-) I recced this to my niece, she's sure to love it as much as I do.

The scrolling around doesn't bother me as much as my cursor is controlled by my thumb/trackball, which is easy for me.
