"Any drunken redneck can walk in a bar and start a fight. The question is, can he finish the fight?"
—former Gov. Mike Huckabee on Donald Trump

Over the weekend, Huckabee also said '"...that President Obama's Iran deal is so bad it will "take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven."'

I am wondering two things:

(1) Is there any site collating all these pearls of Republican wisdom for the ages,

(2) Would it be distinguishable from The Onion?

I don't know of a specific repository, but I know some general ones. I get most of my quotes from Doonesbury, the bottom of the page has something called Say What?. There's no direct link from the Washington Post web site, but there is one here. I've also gotten quotes from other sources: The Daily Show, The Colbert Report (formerly), The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC, still on but we don't watch it currently). My tags on The Donald here on LJ, for example, go back to 2011.

I don't use the Doonesbury tag here anymore, but it goes back in my blog here to at least December 2007 if you want to go back that far. It's mostly Republican blather, but there's some for everyone.

There is an iOS app called Settle It! from PolitiFact where they study the statements by various idiots like The Donald. In his case, most of his statements are flat-out wrong. It's amusing to read how bad some are, but also how they will subtly shade the truth for their own ends.

The Republican candidates are always best when they are unscripted and letting us know what they really think.

By best, of course, I mean "showing their inability to be serious candidates".
