Date: 2017-08-05 02:28 pm (UTC)It was well known, pretty much since 7 was announced, that they were discarding the Expanded Universe canon. She has only herself to blame for her disappointment. Personally, I thought 7 was somewhat disappointing because (a) they had to recap so much material, and (b) they broke physics with such abandon. But that's just me. I expected (a), and I never expect (b) to be followed with very much rigor. I have higher hopes for (a) in 8. I never realized that they don't have girl/women Star Wars window figs with light sabers....
