RIP: Ursula K. Le Guin
Jan. 23rd, 2018 07:01 pmOne of the greats passed away Monday at the age of 88. I think my first exposure to her was seeing the 1980 adaptation of The Lathe of Heaven on PBS, which rates, in my humble opinion, as one of the best movies that I've ever seen.
She was quite a genre breaker and shall be sorely missed.

I worked for a school, and they offered one, and my current employer, even though it's a temporary gig, offers one. I've never much benefited from one since my eyesight is now, more or less, permanently fixed and will no longer (theoretically) change.
