Two great pieces of Marvel movie news!
Mar. 15th, 2019 03:53 pmIf you like Marvel movies, that is. If you don't, that's OK, too!
First up, the latest, and probably final, trailer for the Avengers: Endgame movie. Or as I like to call it, Avengers: The Unsnappening.
I think the trailer dropped yesterday and I think it's pretty darn awesome. And you really should see Captain Marvel before seeing Endgame.
Next, and I think this is bigger news than just a trailer: JAMES GUNN IS BACK! Disney has rescinded their firing of Gunn and he will write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3! The firing was under somewhat dubious circumstances and they were in grave danger of losing that series of movies: Dave Bautista/Draxx flat-out stated that he would not appear in any GotG movie that was not helmed by Gunn and the entire team of actors were supporting Gunn after he was canned.
Someone had a very large multi-course crow dinner in the rehiring of Gunn, and it was a good thing. It probably resulted in a lot of re-jiggering of movie release sequences: it is rumored that there are TWENTY (20!) movies in the planning stages, and there are so many mutual independencies that the release sequence is very important.

That's one of the problems of the Me Too movement: there's very little hope of redemption. Personally, I thought the main plot, Ego, of the GotG2 was kind of weak, and Kurt Russel is one of my favorite actors. I loved the B plot of Peter's relationship to Yondu and what was going on with the Reavers was a far more interesting plot.
