You know, if Covid reduced fertility in men and women, in a 40-60 years we would have a radical political demographic shift.  The question is whether the world would last that long for reform and remediation to be possible at that point.  The problem is, most of these morons have already reproduced.

Fertility rates are already plummeting and have been for some time. The BBC here does the usual blaming of wretched selfish women wanting to put food on the table and a roof over their heads before breeding, and says falling sperm counts are nothing to do with the situation. Even though sperm counts have declined dramatically.

Yeah, I've been watching that.  Japan's been under replacement levels for years.  I think that's part of the reason for them trying to raise retirement ages in the west: shrinking workforce in addition to people living longer.  But with increasing dementia, I don't think it's going to suite employers well.  Old people deserve to be out of the workforce: they've been screwed for 40 years, they don't deserve to get worked over for another 10 or 20.

I feel there is no shortage of good people, people fleeing war and oppression for example. Economic migrants who work hard in one country and send money back to their families back home. Anti-immigrant types need to wake up and appreciate immigrants, one day countries will have to bid for them.

But of course, the racists whine because the carer wiping their bum or the doctor or nurse tending them or the delivery driver bringing their food is brown and foreign.

And they wonder why HGV drivers weren't flocking over to jump into trucks and get their petrol and all their stores restocked in time for Christmas, when they knew they'd all get kicked out on the 24th.  Much less their joke of a program to recruit intellectuals and scientists that has had precisely zero applicants since it opened. Just this morning I read this NY Times op ed, "Boris Johnson reveals who he really is", from earlier this month.  He's doing an excellent job of turning the government and PM into an authoritarian ruler.  I suppose his next move will be to cook the elections more solidly so he never has to face them again.

Well, I guess we now get to find out whether "if a simple, free medical procedure were available and the alternative threatened mens' penises, they'd get it in droves" is a true statement or not. Assuming they can firm up the linkages to the point where it's pretty clear the getting infected means a much higher chance of dysfunction.
