I did it by unsubscribing from Lucas emails! That's two Disney email series that I've received and unsubscribed from in as many weeks. I'M ON A ROLL! :-)

I grew increasingly disappointed by the movies and maintain that Episodes 4-6 were the best. I liked the first two seasons of Mandalorian, grew increasingly disappointed with whatever the Boba Fett series is, aside from kind of a hot mess IMHO. Personally, I probably wouldn't bother with the new Obi Wan series except Russet is in the "He's a pretty boy!" fan club, so we'll probably be watching that. She asked me about the status of our subscription this morning and she's also interested in Moon Kannnnnigit.

May the Fourth be another day on the calendar preceding the Fifth and following the Third.

LOL.....
I got the email that lists all the movies and series in their order, and I am trying to decide if it's something to tackle. :o

If it's any consolation, I hear good things about at least how Moon Knight has started.

I too have been rethinking streaming subscriptions. Over on Netflix, I don't have to immediately see an eventual conclusion to Lupin when one finally arrives, and on Amazon I just have to finish off The Expanse. Sometimes I activate a dvd.com subscription to get through a backlog of pending shows or movies, still waiting for Disney+ stuff to come out on DVD but it might in the end.

Ah, goodness, I hope the current Lupin finishes at a good point anyway. It's worse than Money Heist for annoying long gaps between connected parts.

There are television shows like Mr InBetween I'm still waiting to turn up in some convenient way but they can wait, I still didn't even get around to trying that 12 Monkeys television show.

I did like WWDITS, that was a great approach. (-: And the television adaptation has had some good moments too though I was somewhat meh overall on the latest season and not thrilled at its finale.

It took me years to figure out the connection between May the 4th and Star Wars. (Yeah, sometimes I don't even notice the clue stick aiming at my head.) Now, seeing the fuss on my social feeds helps me remember... it's either my friend's birthday, or the day before her birthday. (That's closer than previously; I spent years thinking her birthday was the end of May.)

So when we're shopping tomorrow (I'm her ride), I'll be no more than a day late when I wish her "Happy Birthday!" And I remembered it yesterday, but have already forgotten, until you reminded me. Thank you.

Treating the franchise with its deserved respect is an excellent way of celebrating it.

Yeah. We're in the phase now where, essentially, pay TV has come into existence and everybody wants their own channels. We'll have to wait for a decade or two for all the posers to get in and then get out when they realize they can't actually maintain the infrastructure or produce enough programming to be good, and then we'll end up with something much more like what we have now for cable, just for streaming subscriptions. It'll probably be Netflix once again, but it will cover both old and new stuff from everywhere instead of having to deal with all of the individual services.

I spent a lot of my high school years being really into Star Wars, but that started to waver with the prequels. And while this may sound strange, the fact that Star Wars is owned by Disney never really sat right with me. I'm not coming at it from a possessive fan perspective, but rather because it feels like they took a special franchise and turned it into just another money-generating IP. My feelings on the subject are rather hard to articulate, but it's glad to know I'm not the only fan who kind of feels like Disney sucked the magic out of the property to a certain extent.
