Date: 2022-05-13 08:35 pm (UTC)When the accident happened at Fukishima, I actually calculated how much radiation would arrive in the US (basically bugger all), and compared it to things like bananas and sleeping next to your most beloved.

Date: 2022-05-13 08:51 pm (UTC)I actually probably receive a higher dose from my most most beloved because some of the instruments on the telescope contain higher than average radioactive elements. Not enough to require stickering, but enough that they'd make a Geiger Counter twitch if brought near them and require special disposal upon disassembly.
