Breaking Newts: Madison Cawthorne lost his primary election!

He will be out of office come January, if not sooner!

The challenger, State Senator Chuck Edwards, not only soundly beat Cawthorne, cleared the 30% vote margin and will not face a run-off election which is what got Cawthorne into office. Edwards will go strait to the General Election in November and face whatever opponents make it to that stage. Since it is a safely Republican district, he is expected to go straight to Washington.

The Rolling Stone article details Cawthorne's recent troubles, which are quite numerous. It includes Trump's tepid plea to give Cawthorne 'a second chance' after privately wondering if he was "fucking his cousins". Wow. Well, regardless of proclivities, he's gone. He conceded the race and that is probably the end of his career on the National stage.

I occasionally call Fox News, Faux Newts.  That's why I titled this post thus.  I'm glad you got a chuckle. :-)  I did not mean to encourage people to go out and harm innocent little water creature lizard like things.

And I didn't imagine people breaking the newts, I imagined the newts themselves breaking stuff. Like, old crockery breaking newts. Or tiny stick breaking newts. Etc. She said proudly :D

I like that: newts on a rampage!  I'm pretty careful with my typing, and with my browser underlining spelling errors, it's pretty rare that you'll see a typo in my posts, so it'll usually be on purpose if you do. ;-)
