Just amazing. As Trump said DURING his initial campaign, 'I love dumb people!' Lots going on here, mostly it's the Morality Police making noise and causing trouble. It still has to go through the Senate, so no telling whether or not it will survive.

Definitely a sea-change in the world of librarianship.

"amazing" isn't the word I would have used (even in a sardonic way). I'm aghast (and a dozen less civil adjectives). And deeply saddened (as I am about the wave of cruel, stupid, and hateful legislation across the U.S.)

I guess I'm going to have to start making a map of states I cannot possibly live in. Florida and Texas easily lead the pack, but recent legislation in Kentucky (and here, possibly Missouri) are like dark horses coming up the rear. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Aghast is definitely a good word for it.  Republicans think dumbed-down people are easy to sway to their side, and they may be right.  It's just sad to see the desired outcome being an uninformed, low knowledge electorate.
