Nat Geo has its own problems.  It's now owned by Disney, and they just fired the last of their reporting staff.  Now all material will be produced by freelancers.  And worst, they may be stopping the print edition!

OH NO... I had heard about the firings, but I hadn't heard they were thinking about stopping the print version. :o
ARGH........ Not everybody lives online. Not everybody has access to online. :o
And personally I prefer an actual physical magazine. :o

Good, I'm glad to see that plenty of groups don't want to play in places that scan and invade the privacy of the attendees. At the very end, there was the "well, Taylor used it because some of the people who call themselves her fans definitely aren't," and keeping the stalkers out is a good reason to post more people and have them be on the lookout for them, but we shouldn't need intrusive face-scanning tech for catching and excluding stalkers (who will probably be trying to disguise themselves anyway.)

Someone raised the point that a third-party or municipality could be in charge of the face scanning and ID process, but then you're just giving someone else the ability to hoard data.
