Of course it is!

In a recent developers build, Recall was shown as something that could be removed in Windows Features. This is apparently a bug and will be removed from the Features applet in a future update. The Verge reached out to Microsoft to try and find out if Recall will be removable but did not receive a direct answer.

In the EU, Microsoft was required to make their browser removable, presumably the same thing will be required for Recall. So hopefully some clever boffins over there will find the registry switches to let us do it over here.

Presumably, yes, all the components that are nonessential should be removable, and there's no way that you can say that Recall is essential. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there are ways for someone to be able to say "this is an EU version, give me the uninstall abilities," uninstall those things, and then switch their registration to US-based software with those features uninstalled and keep it that way.

Really, Microsoft should be allowing us to uninstall any of their bundled software, but if they let us do that, then we'd do it.
