Xerox buying Lexmark's printer division
Dec. 23rd, 2024 10:53 amKind of interesting news. A $1.5b transaction, inclusive of debt and other assumed liabilities. I owned a Lexmark laser printer back 15 years ago, it was pretty good - quite the workhorse. But that was when they were an IBM spinoff, before they went to China.
Xerox makes or made pretty good gear, it'll be interesting to see what the result of this acquisition produces. I wish they'd also brought in their laptop division, but that would have been kind of outside of Xerox's wheelhouse.

IIRC, the main reason I got rid of it was switching to Mac meant switching to USB. I gave it away through a free local web site akin to Angie's List sort of thing.
