GREATLY loosens! Even people with just Bachelor degrees are potentially eligible - and freshly-minted ones at that! If the degree is in robotics, AI, or new materials - and even if you don't have a job-offer from a Chinese company - you might be able to waltz into China and start marketing yourself.

Date: 2025-11-15 04:55 pm (UTC)We hope to leave in a couple of years after Russet retires, but just don't know if it's possible. We don't have enough money for the "golden visa" requirements that a lot of countries have, assuming our economy doesn't completely crash. And as I'm at retirement age and she'll be medically unsuited to continue working at an observatory, we're not really employable and we can probably rule out work visas regardless. What country would take retirees without golden visas with substantial medical costs that we could afford to live in for another 25 years or so until we die.
