If you saw and enjoyed Zootopia, DEFINITELY see the sequel!

We just got back from seeing it, and it is a fantastic sequel! They brought back pretty much the entire cast, though they did replace the mayor. I'm not going to talk about the plot at all, except to say that the script writers did a wonderful job on the story. And I'm going to leave it at that.

One thing is that I would strongly recommend re-watching the original movie before going to this one. It starts like a week after the end of the first movie and hits the ground running. Or hopping.

Oh, there's a 40 second clip at the end of the credits. There's something at the very end of the clip that I'm not sure if it's foreshadowing Zootopia 3 or not, I guess we'll find out when it gets made and released. NINE YEARS between the first and second movies, I hope we don't have to wait that long for #3.

A "local" (20 miles up the road) theater has it on three screens (out of eight) all weekend. And they must have thought there are a lot of morning people in the area 'cause screenings started at 8:15am. Seriously. I've never seen a theater start screenings of films prior to 10:30am before. Maybe the theater figured parents would drop their kids off, go shopping for two hours and then come get the kids.

Being a morning person, I was there for the first showing yesterday (Saturday) and almost had my third ever private viewing of a first-run film. Then a family of four showed-up just before the film started. Well behaved, quiet kids anyway.

Our theater is also 20ish miles down the mountain, I think they have ten screens.  They've got it in only one theater, but have one 3D showing sandwiched in somewhere.  We caught the last showing last night, there were maybe 10-12 others in the theater.

I saw it Friday morning after working Thursday night. :o
I did have some eyelid problems.
I'm sure I would have gone back for a rerun, but I do need to catch a scene or two. lol........
I agree, it was a really good sequel. :)
Has it really been 9 years since the original? :o

For me, it'll be waiting for streaming or home media release before I see it again.  The sound system at our local theater kinda sucks, my home system has much better sound.

We really enjoyed both.  I'm looking forward to seeing it streaming or on home media - which I'll buy when it becomes available - to catch the dialog that I missed.  Our theater's sound mix kinda sucks.
