I've been thinking about getting one, and as it happens, they had one on the shelf when I was in Best Buy a few weeks ago. Maybe I should've pounced on it. One interesting thing that it can do (amongst the many interesting things that it can do) is that apparently you can use a Nintendo DS as a form of remote with it.

At work I got a call Monday AM from the help desk. They'd restored an Access database for a user and it was corrupt, they wanted to know if I could do anything with it. I told them about the compact & repair function and eventually the help desk tech found the menu option and ran it (he was running Access 2007) but it didn't do any good -- the MDB was still corrupt. He copies it to a share that I'm linked to and I try a repair under Access 2003, still no good -- the MDB is truly FUBAR'd. So I suggest he restores an earlier version of the file, perhaps the user can live with a little data loss in return for most data returned.

There were no other copies. There was only one copy captured by our multi-generational backup system. Why?

The user deleted administrator access to the share where the file was located. Therefore, the backup program couldn't access the share.

Yep, America's favorite (soon to be former) lawyer sent an email (via attorneys as he's forbidden direct contact as part of a law suit settlement) to the mother of the CEO of Take Two Interactive, who are about to release another chapter in the Grand Theft Auto series, saying that her son is part of the Hitler Youth and that she obviously wasn't a good biblical mother raising him.

Gotta love Jack, he's a great source of humor!

According to Wikipedia, GTA has sold 70 million copies. If Jack is correct, why aren't there 70 million dead people around and 70 million game buyers and players in prison for murder?

When eating dry roasted edamame that are wasabi flavored, do not rub your eyes before washing your hands.

That is all.
