Well, the words started flowing better for me, I've gotten my main character introduced and on to the station, I've introduced two other characters and I've started describing the station. I'll be starting telling stories today, and starting with the main plot probably tomorrow. I wrote about 1500 words yesterday, so I'm still way behind the 2000 words/day curve but I think I'll be catching up soon.

And for those who are truly bored, I've posted what I've written in my NaNo profile, that section is limited to 10k words, so no telling how long it'll be current. And yes, it really drags in the beginning. It was a pain in the butt to write, but it's flowing better now. And now my laptop is pretty much done with updates and such, so I won't have to spend as much time tweaking it. And I've played less than 2 hours of Warcraft since 11/1, so I don't think that'll be too much of a problem.

Ah, the Tarantino approach to writing! I was considering such a technique, but I don't think I'll be using it.

November's going to be a little crazy. We'll be going to Phoenix for Thanksgiving for most of the week, and I know I'm going to be swamped with Photoshop and color printing, heck, I should have gone down to school today and done some printing!

I fully understand the traveling. We don't have any relative birthdays since our closest relatives are mine at 500 miles away. I was there for my mom's 75th this year, and that'll be it. We just got back from going to a Halloween party in Phoenix last weekend, left Friday and returned Sunday for a three hour party. Over a thousand miles and probably a hundred bucks in gas.

So yeah, you've got lots of friends in the crazy realm.

Oh, but it's worth it. You just find out you have very little time after spending a couple of hours in the car.

Incidentally, since I was by myself, I was creating dialogue out loud. That was fun; I ought to do that more often.

Meself, when driving long distances solo without me wife, I sing or dictate notes into a digital voice recorder for game concepts. Dialog comes to me as I'm writing, I start with a vague concept: Pat is going to describe *this*, Audrey will reply by telling *this other* story.
