Sadness. Discovery Channel is closing all of their retail stores

I really enjoyed shopping there. It's been a couple of years since I've been in one, but that's because there aren't any near here. The sad thing is, that by going to strictly an emodel, I'm less likely to buy from them. When I buy things online, I'm usually looking for a specific item and am not likely to browse.

Oh no! Half of the fun of having the store around was to play with all the neat things while they were there. Of course, our Discovery store closed quite some time ago, so we haven't had a good thing like that in a while.

I think the last time that I was in one was probably about three years ago in San Diego. It was a good place for buying unusual presents for friends (and cool stuff for yourself!)
