Man, so many memories! I do so enjoy writing this from a Mac. :-) Sadly, I'll be a Windows user for as long as I work as that is the platform that the database system that I know runs upon.

I find it more effective to have a console window open. I do a Top to find the PID of the hung process, quit it, then kill the pid. Seems pretty effective to me.

Very cool! And I have to agree with almost all. The only ones I'm holding off on are the ones more related to Vista, as I haven't bothered to work with it at all yet.....and I'm really glad about that from all I've heard.

I'm surprised the "helpful" pixellated annoyances didn't make it further up the list, though I'd never even heard of some of them. Thank goodness.
