If you're squicked out by insects, you might not want to proceed beneath the cut....

I swear, I think every bug in the city comes to my apartment to die. I always have dead crickets and roaches on the tile floor by my patio door, they also seem fond of the front bathroom. The complex sprays 2-4 times a year, and it's obviously effective as the bugs are dying or dead, I'm just annoyed at them invading my space.

To give an example, I vacuumed last night, got 'em out of the bathroom, got the carpets nice, and this morning there's a dead roach on my kitchen floor. I get home tonight, and there's one twitching in the middle of the living room floor.

I sprayed for ants once, we were getting a lot of them in the kitchen and on the table, so I laid down a thick layer of it outside the front door and side door, that seems to have done an adequate job.

*sigh*

Don't feel too bad; we call the stairway to our cellar The Hall of Death because of the number of dead insects that are always there. Usually just things like box elder bugs, Asian lady beetles, and spiders, though, no roaches. The only difference is that we make no attempt to clean them up, because we don't go to the cellar if we can help it.
