She changed her priorities because she can make many buckets of money more on the Republican rubber chicken speaking circuit than she can as guv.

Nothing at all, I'm quite a fan of it. I just find it amusing that she's not going to complete her first term as guv. I have a feeling that she's going to find quitting to be a mistake and she would have been better off staying in AK and running for a second term or for a congressional seat.

I really like that she does and says what she damn well pleases and pisses off the status quo Republicans. In my book, a loose cannon is far more useful than a 'proper' politico. I wish our dumbass Gov. would quit.

I really wish Palin would just fade away.

And probably amass a more powerful base who will support her in a return to politics than if she had stayed on as the governor of Alaska. This could be showing us that the Limbaugh Way (or maybe the Reagan Way?) really is the way to power in the GOP.

Except she did quit. She contracted for a four year job and quit 3 years in. I don't know what they call that where McCain hangs out, but in my group we've always called that "quitting" and I think we always shall. Now it might be true that her priorities changed, but I doubt it. I think her priorities have always been the same, but she did quit.

I think her priorities changed when she was approached to be McCain's Veep. I think she's quitting for extremely spurious reasons, at least as she has stated them. I also think that hopefully the extension that she somehow got on her 15 minutes will be burned up rapidly once she gets out in to the wild.
