If you have a spare invitation, I'd really appreciate it if you could slip one my way.

I'd like to see how it works for doing a role-playing game through it, but that's being done. What I'd really like to do is see how it would work for doing collaborative game design. I just put a prospectus of sorts up on www.webwaveupdate.com, maybe I'll get lucky between that, LJ friends, or maybe even Google giving me one.

I have a bunch; I'd be happy to throw one your way. Where should I sent it?

Coolness! I'll get an email off to you directly.

Much thanks!

I have a Google wave account, and I would've sent you an invite but it's already been taken care of. If you need testers to help with the RPG let me know.

(It was the weirdest thing, actually... I'd spent an hour or so surfing for free invites, and gave up, and then Google sent me one.)

Ditto what donkey_hokey said about volunteering for the RPG. BTW I'm back on WoW and Mulciber (ok I couldn't get that spelling, but it's close) is back in the "Blades".

now if I can just find more time to game then the hour I spent in there Xmas Eve!

We're still active on Kilrogg: Slash Follow (Horde) and Geeks Baring Fists (alli). Russet has two 80's now, both Geeks, I still just have one 80 DK.

Right now I'm downgraded: my MacBook Pro just got shipped off to Phoenix to get the two week old HD replaced. Not a happy camper. So I'm using a standard MacBook with 1 gig memory and shared video. I'm not doing anything too heavy-duty, and might not be able to finish the xmas quest chain because of it.

I'll definitely let you know about the RPG: I'm finding it kinda gratifying that people might be interested after my lack of response from Phoenix friends!

Thanks for the thought, I appreciate it. If I get the game rolling, I'll definitely give you an invite: I think only one of my normal crew in Phoenix expressed interest.

We has the Wave and invites, and an RPG on the Wave looks like it would be very interesting to do. If needed, has someone programmed a dicebot for it?

I'm sure there are dicebots, the question is: how flexible are they? For example, Champions has two different ways of counting dice for damage in combat. Depending on the programming language for bots, I may have to write my own. I wrote a really nice Perl script for doing Champions dice, maybe I'll get lucky and it could be an easy port.

That's always a hope, that code can be re-used. I would think the Googlefolk are pretty good about language-agnosticity.

I'm on G-Wave but haven't done much with it. It wanted me to install their Google Chrome crap which I do not want. But keep me in the rpg loop if you get something going and I will re-evaluate as needed.

I didn't have to install Chrome, interesting.

I'm not too impressed with it, but I need to check out the add-in bots more thoroughly. I think if they added G Docs integration they'd have a lot more.

Enhanced email just doesn't do it for me, so I'm having doubts that it is what I'm looking for.
