One can hope the court of final appeals looks at the intent of copyright and laughs at this decision, possibly telling the judges they need to go back to law school.

SCOTUS is about the only thing that can fix this at this point. Otherwise, it's "All Hail The Mouse!"

Pretty much. And I'm not sure whether SCOTUS will do the right thing. They seem to be very fond of singing "Duloc is a perfect place."
