September 11: International Burn a Quran Day, according to a preacher in Florida

Would he be pissed if Buddhists burned Bibles? Of course he would! Everyone else is just a bunch of heathens.

An evangelical preacher in Florida is going to hold a Quran burning on the 11th. He's started receiving death threats, in addition to people mailing him copies of the book, and has started wearing a .40 on his hip.

In addition to a multi-faith group decrying it, a group of Generals have said it will increase risk to soldiers. So has the Vatican. Other churches in the community are holding readings from the Quran as a counter-protest.

Gotta love fear mongering from people who don't understand the difference between extremist hate groups and peaceful religions.

Everyone who gives this guy publicity by "shaming him" or "counteracting him" or whatever is part of the problem. Ignoring the stoopid is better than telling the whole world about it so they can brilliantly respond with stoopid of their own.
