Wait just a minute here. Isn't it previous Republican congresses that have destroyed unemployment benefits while destroying jobs? Isn't it Republican legislatures that are introducing such lovelies as trans-vaginal ultrasounds to shame women getting abortions? That doesn't sound too much like the government wanting to take care of you.

Oh, I get it! It's the GOVERNMENT taking care of CORPORATIONS! Thank you, People United!

That Mr. Christie believes that dreams and striving and having a safety net are opposed is a fairly significant sign all on its own. I think that says a lot about Republicans and their values.
