And they're already up for sale on criminal underground carder forums. Apparently some banks actually buy their customer's cards from these markets.

Isn't this the second time Target has been hacked recently? Apparently, the security upgrades didn't.

I was thinking the same thing, that a faint bell was ringing that this was a repeat, but I can't find anything to substantiate that. I think we're remembering the TJ Maxx hack and conflating it with Target.

That's probably it. Although, if we dig far enough, will we find that both stores are owned by the same parent company or parent conglomerate?
