We have a horrible situation going on right now, in Moncton, New Brunswick. A guy is basically stalking about the city, armed to the teeth. It started about 7 pm yesterday. He's killed three RCMP cops and injured two others, and the city is basically shut down while the manhunt goes on. No one knows why he's doing it, and he doesn't seem to be shooting at regular residents.

Wow, I hope they get the guy with no more loss of life. I don't know what the RCMP has in terms of a special unit or SWAT or snipers, but that might be what they need.

I just heard that we had another university shooting today, at least one dead. I just don't understand the increase in shootings. I know there's been a tremendous cut in mental health funding here, I don't know what's been going on up there.

Sure, there always will be,but I'm the child of an engineer. Close enough for all practical purposes will do just fine for me.

It's the conservative way, but I wouldn't attribute such lofty ideals to them.
