i.e., Good = Beneficial for defense contractors. The people of Iraq? Not so much.

Much like the former USSR, the underlying tensions were sitting there and poorly handled when the control was removed. A lot of the problem is that when the current geographic boundaries were drawn in such a poor fashion that conflict was all but inevitable.
