"Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?...You're telling me that's in the First Amendment?"
-- Delaware senatorial candidate Christine O'Donnell, in a debate at the Widener University Law School

BWAHAHAHAHA! Yo momma so dumb she thinks the establishment clause means you have to put the year you started your business over the door!

Apparently Rush Limbaugh parroted the line that the phrase does not appear in the Constitution, and he's right, it doesn't explicitly. The concept is absolutely there, though. Apparently the phrase traces back to Thomas Jefferson, and since he's Prez #3, I'd say that's an old enough reference to count as canon.

Man, I wish Stewart wasn't on hiatus for the next couple of weeks. Speaking of which, I wonder if O'Donnell will be at the Rally to Restore Sanity? Probably not, she might spontaneously cease to exist.

"Um, I'm very sorry, right off the top of my head, I know that there are a lot, but I'll put it up on my website, I promise you."
-- Delaware senatorial candidate Christine O'Donnell, asked to name a recent Supreme Court decision with which she disagreed

In some ways, I'd like to see her get elected. We have plenty of idiots in Congress, what's one more? It reminds me of the one and only televised debate that Arizona governor Jan Brewer did, showed up as an absolute idiot with no public extemporaneous speaking skills, something that's kind of important in the state's highest elected official. Brewer was appointed when Napolitano was picked to head up Homeland Security, Brewer is running for governor for the first time though she has held other elected office previously. Most famously Brewer claimed in a TV interview that decapitated bodies had been found in the AZ desert caused by drug runners, something thoroughly debunked.

Basically I want people SMARTER THAN ME IN CONGRESS AND HIGHER. I've never understood this "would you like to have a beer with him?" mentality.

"There's much I want to say. I wish I wasn't privy to some of the classified information that I am privy to."
-- Christine O'Donnell in 2006, alleging that China has a "carefully thought out and strategic plan to take over America"

"Privy to ... classified information"? Did her tin foil had slip and the aliens were finally able to beam a message in to her brain? From what I can see she's never worked in government, or for a contractor where she could have access to classified information. The debate in which she stated this was reported here:
