A nice, long interview with Weird Al Yankovic

Haven't finished it yet, but I like what I've read thus far. A multi-platinum artist, he's been recording for 25 years and just had his first top 10 hit 2 years ago. And I think that's about how ling I've been listening to him, I saw him in concert, IIRC, for Like A Surgeon in the early/mid 80's.

Heh. Yeah, I've been listening to him for almost his whole career. Except... I've kinda fallen off in the last 5 years, because I stopped listening to 99% of pop music and so the parodies aren't quite as funny. The last Weird Al I really listened to was Running with Scissors. Oddly, I *really* liked Albuquerque. (I tried listening to Poodle Hat, and couldn't. Eh.. damn kids.. get off the lawn...)

I'm glad he's been able to keep on top of the music and evolve and continue expanding his popularity.

The concert apostate mentions attending 9 years ago - that was one we went to together, as the last part of our honeymoon :D
