The second one won't make sense if you haven't read the Hugo Award-winning graphic novel. It's also in the New York Times list of top 100 novels of all time.

I get to be smug because I read the original when it was published as a twelve issue mini-series back in '86/'87, still have 'em in a box.

I've been debating whether or not to re-read the graphic novel collection before seeing the movie this weekend, a co-worker suggested waiting until after. I think that's a good idea. I expect the movie to be incredible, I know they changed the ending, but I'm OK with that. So I think I'll wait.

Yeah, I'd agree on Rorschach's voice. I'd always imagined it as the scary, emotionless monotone, too. He wasn't trying to be threatening or intimidating; he didn't give that much of a damn.

This is either going to be great or going to suck. I don't think they could do a middle-ground version of it.
