"I'd love that. She's really somebody who knows what's happening. She's a special person...No matter where I go, everybody loves her."
—Donald Trump, asked if, as president, he might seek Sarah Palin's advice or appoint her to a Cabinet post

and

"It was my phrase. I came up with it, and I had it copyrighted. And people see the biggest standing ovations...and all of a sudden some of the other candidates started using the phrase. But I had it copyrighted, so they're not allowed to use it. Which even surprises me."
—Donald Trump on "Make America Great Again"

Regarding Palin: you betcha! Though I've never watched Trump's Apprentice show, I wonder if she would last a week. He should probably put her in charge of the Department of Education and get that final stake driven in to the heart of American education.

The Make America Great Again slogan was actual Ronald Reagan's. I don't know if it was when he initially ran for POTUS or when he ran for reelection. I'm curious if he actually got a copyright awarded for that phrase, he's good at making pronouncements in advance of reality, like when he announced that he was running for POTUS the week before he got the paperwork filed.

Copyright wouldn't help Trump in this case. Trademark law might, if he wants to file the paperwork for that, but even so, he'd have to get past Ronald Reagan to make it work.

As for Trump / Palin, well, they would certainly let us see all the flaws the other candidates have...
