Not bad looking, considering they're going for as high aerodynamics as they can get for a four-door. But the best part -- $19,000! It'll be a little while before they're available.

I found it amusing, but I'm easily amused. And I would definitely pay money to see them.

I wonder if Luc Besson could do a Muppet movie. Wasabi? La Femme Nikita starring Piggy & Kermie?

It looks like a Hot Wheel to me if this is what the final product looks like.

This is extremely speculative, it's called gait analysis and is an idea that has been bounced around for some time now. Cory Doctrow really explored it in his latest book, Little Brother, about a near timeframe terrorist attack in San Francisco and Homeland Security run amuck.

Basically, by using algorithms to measure characteristics of the shadows that your legs cast, compensating for location, time of day, etc., they can build a signature that says "this is YOU."

I can just see people joining the Ministry of Silly Walks and putting rocks in their shoes to change their gait.

Little Brother can be downloaded and read for free at Doctrow's site. I heartily recommend this book, for me it was a definite page turner (or scroll downer).

They have a new diesel that gets 62 MPG and has lower tailpipe emissions than the Prius. It also has the benefit of not having to recycle batteries. Naturally there's nothing regarding pricing or when we might see them in America.
